With their unique, high-level concept, head chef Peter Hagen-Wiest and his team were recently able to prove themselves to the strict jury of the ‘Feinschmecker’: The renowned specialist magazine awarded a title “Restaurant des Jahres (Restaurant of the Year)” to the 2* Michelin restaurant, located in the lighthouse of the 4* superior hotel Bell Rock.


“Few of the top restaurants in this country are so cosmopolitan and glamorous,” says editor-in-chief Deborah Gottlieb. Peter Hagen-Wiest inspires “with a tasty and wonderfully sensual modern kitchen. The friendly Austrian has conceived high-precision, contemporary classics in two menus: ‘Black Forest Cuisine’ with local ingredients and ‘Around the World’ with top international products. There can hardly be a better combination of both home and the wider world. The excellent, but by no means stiff, service under the direction of sommelier Marco Gerlach and the extensive selection of wines (450 items) ensure an outstanding overall experience,” continued Gottlieb.
